Amy Bender, 41, a lifelong Wenatchee area resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Colonial Vista Care Center in Wenatchee, following a two year battle with Pancreatic Cancer
She was born on June 9, 1971 in Wenatchee to Wayne and Brenda (Taylor) Bender. She was raised in Wenatchee and attended Columbia Elementary, Pioneer Junior High and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1989. She worked at a variety of jobs in the valley that included, Merle Norman Cosmetics in the Wenatchee Valley Mall, Selland Construction, Chamberlain Distributing, Lambson Lithographic and had worked last for Bed Bath and Beyond in the Mall.
She is survived by her mother and step father, Brenda & Ron Jagla, Wenatchee; her father, Wayne Bender, Baja, Mexico; one brother and sister-in-law, Darin & Laura Bender, Wenatchee; Maternal grandmother, Helen Taylor, Wenatchee; two aunts, Marsha Taylor, East Wenatchee and Janet Hood , Portland OR. one uncle, Loye Taylor, Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
A memorial service will be held at the Wenatchee Free Methodist Church Monday October 1st; at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
