To view available surplus items, go to eBay. The site will include photos and descriptions of the items, which will typically be up for bid for seven days.
“Using eBay to sell surplus items will help us increase public access and reduce the cost of auctioning things no longer used by the PUD,” said Craig Weddle, PUD supply chain manager.
Successful bidders are encouraged to pick up their purchase. Click here for location and schedule. Pick up and shipping can be arranged through a shipping service.
Payment for purchased items will only be accepted electronically, via PayPal.
Potential bidders can sign up for email alerts about auction items at www.chelanpud.org/Surplus-Notification-Sign-Up.html .
Vehicles and other large equipment surplus to the PUD’s needs will still be sold at live auction and are not available through eBay auction.
More information about PUD surplus auctions is at www.chelanpud.org/surplus-materials-auction.html. If interested bidders have questions, they can call the PUD’s Shelley Hankins at (509) 661-4322.
