Deloris “Dee” Stromme passed away October 5, 2012, at 2:12 a.m. Born and educated in Fargo, ND, she married Floyd Marvin Stromme in 1937, and for the next nine years, she traveled with him as he played professional baseball. While living many years on the Oregon Coast, she enjoyed working in her Real Estate office. Throughout those years, she was secretary of the corporation, Green Forest Acres and Timber Park Development; and President of Coos County Escrow Service. Dee and her husband moved to the beautiful Wenatchee Valley in 1989, and were members of the First United Methodist Church, and after Floyd passed away in 1993, Dee took his place as an active Kiwanian.
Dee was preceded in death by her son, Larry, in the military; and her husband in 1993. She is survived by her children, Dianne Anderson, Bonnie and Chuck Sperbeck and Ronald and Dallas Stromme; grandchildren, Jason Stromme, Cory Turner, Wendy Palmerton and Kimberly and Steve Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Austin and Quinton Stromme, McKenzie and Morgan Palmerton, and Ashley and Gage Turner.
At her request, there will be No Service. Those who choose to make memorials may do so to American Legion Baseball. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
