(East Wenatchee, WA) If you missed the first annual Eastmont Foundation Benefit Concert, your chance has come again. The second annual Eastmont Foundation Benefit Concert will be held Thursday, March 14 at the Eastmont High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
We have an amazing night of talent provided by:
- Junk Belly- Great local band featuring our own Mike Gamble (Clovis Point) on bass. “Junkbelly is a band of seasoned musicians who have made their individual trips around the block. JunkBelly is a blues based pop/rock band that features original tunes that reflect influences such as The Allman Brothers Band, Ben Harper, Funk Browthers, SRV, and Santana. JunkBelly has opened for such acts as Vicci Martinez, Average White Band, Curtis Salgado, and B.B. King.”
- Queens of Seven – plus Mike Bills – Back by popular demand is Queens of Seven plus Mike Bills. Qo7 is a local band consisting of Monica Cahalan and Jenn Byrd (Cascade/Sterling) and “have adopted” Mike Bills (EHS) to join them for the concert. Their music is soulful, catchy and head turning. Their passion for music and entertainment shows in their performance.
- EHS Vocal Jazz Choir – Another returning group from last year, our own Vocal Jazz Choir under the direction of Tara Abbott (EHS). This group can really sing and we catch them right before their large group contests in Wenatchee at the end of March. Later in March they will be traveling to Anaheim, California to perform at Disney Arts.
Rumor has it, all three groups will perform together for a grand finale.
Admission is only $5 at the door and we “pass the hat” between acts. All the bands are volunteering their services which means, all proceeds go directly to help Eastmont School District. At the last benefit concert, the Foundation raised over $900 . Come on out and support this worthy cause and take in some amazing music at the same time.
We hope you can join us this year!
