Edmonds man dies after fall from cliff near Coulee City on Sunday
(Coulee City, WA) – Robert Andrew Prosser, a 60 year-old Edmonds died after falling while climbing near this Grant County town.
Around 2 p.m. Jan. 13, Grant County emergency responders were called to a climbing area along State Route 155 near mile post 8, about nine miles north of Coulee City. Prosser and a friend had been climbing the rock walls popular in this region of the state.
While hiking along a small trail, Robert fell about 150 feet. He died at the scene. There is no suspicion of foul play or equipment failure.
“Grant County has such great recreation year round, and to have someone travel here and then have such a terrible accident is heartbreaking,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “I will pray for his friends and family.”
