Ellen Rae Kinamon, 68, a lifetime Wenatchee area resident, passed away at her home in Wenatchee on Friday, August 17, 2012.
She was born on November 2, 1942 in Wenatchee, WA, daughter of the late Rex and Lois (Searles) Kish. She was raised and attended Cashmere schools; graduating from Cashmere High School in 1961. She continued her education at Wenatchee Valley College, graduating with an AA degree.
She met and was later married to Dennis Kinamon, they made their home together in Cashmere and in 1970 moved to Wenatchee, and together they had a son, Jeff. She went to work for the U.S. Forest Service in mid 60’s where she became a Procurement Technician. She worked at the Easy Street Forest Service Headquarters for 43 years. She retired in December of 2011.
She was a member of the Cashmere American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 64. Her hobbies included playing BINGO with her family and friends and ceramics.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Kinamon, (Wenatchee); sisters, Bev Lobe, and Phyllis Flagel, both of Cashmere and brother, Roy Kish, Marysville.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
