Elva R. Ogle Choquette passed away peacefully Monday Evening, September 3, 2012 after a battle with cancer. Elva was born on October 6, 1929 to Christian and Mattie (Viebrock) Hinderer at Douglas, Washington. When Elva was a young child her family lived in White Bluffs, Washington and then returned to Withrow, Washington where she was schooled. She graduated in 1947 from Almira-Hartline High School. Elva returned to Waterville and met Roy Ogle and was married on December 10, 1948 and to this union came Darlene, Debbie, Ruthell and Russell. During her early years of marriage Elva worked for the Douglas County Treasurer’s Office. In the late 1950’s the Ogle’s moved to East Wenatchee and Elva became employed with Mid State Electronics. Roy proceeded Elva in death in April 1971. Elva then met Leo Choquette of Spokane and married him in November of 1979. They enjoyed many years together traveling in their RV, fishing, and even river-rafting. Leo proceeded Elva in death in November 1990. Elva was a talented seamstress and her quilts and crafts were always a hit at Columbia Heights where she lived. The yearly craft show always displayed her talents. Elva is survived by her children, Darlene (Stan) Maxwell of Everett; Debbie (Paul) Nicolai of Spokane; Ruthell (John) Baker of Spokane and Russ (Lisa) Ogle of Wenatchee. Grandchildren Loren, Chris, Diane (Mike), Martin, Nicole (Ryan), Amanda (James), Cindy (Mike), Lisa, PJ (Shadow), and Natasha and Brett. Great Grandchildren Lucas, Ryley, Amelia and Wyatt. Siblings Clara Litt, Ray Hinderer and Joan (John) Eskew all of East Wenatchee. Elva was proceeded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and a granddaughter. The family would like to thank Columbia Heights and Janice Gormley for their care and concern. Dr. David Kolde for his compassion and support of Elva and Russ. Dr. Mitch Garrison and the Hospice Team. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2012 at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church in East Wenatchee with Pastor Mick Marquardt. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Central Washington Hospital Hospice Program. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA
