Dr. Glenn Allen Patchen, 77 went to sleep in Jesus on November 5, 2012, at RiverWest Retirement home in Wenatchee, WA. He was born in Coeur d’ Alene, ID to Glenn and Helen Patchen on June 27, 1935. Glenn grew up on the family ranch in Careywood, ID, Spokane and then College Place, WA where he graduated from Walla Walla college Academy and Walla Walla College. His lifelong dream was to be a medical doctor and he graduated with his M.D. from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA and later with his OB-GYN degree. He served his country in the Public Health Service in Seattle, WA and established Valley Women’s Clinic in Renton, WA in 1970, where he practiced medicine until his retirement. He was a fellow of the American College of OB-GYN.
He was a great man of faith and a life-long member of the SDA church.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Valerie (Davy), Kent; children, Genelle (Kyle) Pepple, East Wenatchee, Dr. Gregory (Denene) Patchen, Chandler, AZ, and Garth (Heidi) Patchen, Moore SC; brother, Gary Patchen, Stevensville, MT; sister, Gloria Kupferman, Wenatchee, WA and seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Brittany, Bradley, Bailey and Macaya Patchen, Faith and Sayla Pepple.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
