(Ephrata, WA) The Grant County Sheriff’s Office will unveil and formally dedicate the Fallen Officers Memorial at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in the lobby of the Grant County Law & Justice Center, 35 C St NW, Ephrata. All citizens are invited to attend. The dedication ceremony will also be broadcast live to iFiber Channel One television subscribers, and streamed live on the Internet at http://www.ifiberone.com/.
The granite memorial bears a cast bronze plaque in honor of Grant County Deputy Sheriff John Bernard, who died in a line of duty vehicle collision on Jan. 3, 2010. The memorial offers additional space for future commemorative plaques for other law enforcement officers who may make the ultimate sacrifice while serving the citizens of Grant County.
