Commissioners announced the appointment of Tony Webb as the new general manager effective Monday, Feb. 11 during their normal business meeting today. Webb brings more than 25 years of experience to the position. In accordance with state RCW, the board will take formal action on his appointment during their Feb. 11 business meeting.
“I believe that we made a decision that ultimately benefits both our customers and employees. We are in a crucial time right now and Tony’s proven track record is what we need moving into the future,” said Board President Terry Brewer. “We believe that Tony reflects what Grant PUD is about and we are looking forward to all that his leadership will bring.”
Webb has been with the utility since 1990 and held a number of roles including director of support services, customer service, human resources, assistant general manager and most recently, interim general manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University.
Webb commented that, “I am ready to work with the community and employees to keep the momentum we’ve built these past several months. We will continue to focus on our mission and the core business of serving our customers. I am looking forward to all that’s ahead.”
