Lisa J. “Lucy” McKinstry, 44, of East Wenatchee, a former longtime Bellingham area resident, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Central Washington Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born on November 23, 1967 in Wenatchee to Victor A. and Janice M. (Stumpf) Whitaker. She was raised to the age of 4 n Wenatchee prior to moving with her family to Ferndale, Washington. She grew up, attended elementary, Junior High and High School in Ferndale. Following High School, she continued to make her home in the Bellingham area and worked for a short time at a rope factory in Blaine. She returned to make her home in East Wenatchee in 2010.
She especially enjoyed her grandson and going beachcombing at the ocean.
Lisa is survived by three sons, Casey C. McKinstry, Shelton, WA, Chance C. Kaelin and Caleb C. Hicks both of East Wenatchee; her mother, Janice Segel, East Wenatchee; her father, Victor Whitaker, Ivyton, KY; on brother, Thomas Penfold, East Wenatchee; two sisters, Gina Dugger and Janell Dugger both of East Wenatchee; one grandson, Jaxson McKinstry, East Wenatchee and her significant other, Henry Jackson, East Wenatchee.
