Patricia Ann “Pat” Houlbjerg

October 28, 1939 ~ May 6, 2012

Patricia Ann “Pat” Houlbjerg, 72, passed away May 6, 2012. She was born on October 28, 1939, in Parsons, KS to Leo and Donna Carr. Pat completed her education in Kansas before moving west. She met and married the love of her life in 1969 in Renton, WA. Pat later moved to Chelan, WA, where she owned a retail store, managed a restaurant and was a selfless volunteer. Pat served on the Chelan City Council, the Police Advisory Board, the Drug Awareness Program and other community projects. She was a member of the Lake Chelan Lions Club, where she served as secretary for many years. Pat moved to East Wenatchee in 2000, and then volunteered at the Wenatchee Police Department as a fingerprint specialist.

Pat is survived by her husband, Charles R. “Chuck” Houlbjerg of the home; son, Steve (Robin) Houlbjerg of Dallas, TX; daughters, Pam (Tony) Davick and Kimberly Gray, all of Wenatchee; brothers, James Carr of Tustin, CA and Larry Carr of Smoky Point, WA; grandsons, Broc Houlbjerg of Ellensburg, Jesse Gray of Wenatchee, Dray Davick of Wenatchee; granddaughter, Cory Houlbjerg of Tigard, OR; and last but not least, the hundreds of friends and all the lives that Pat touched while on her journey through life. Gone but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Virgil Hutchinson Memorial Hall, 108 Rock Island Road, East Wenatchee. Please, all remembrances and gifts may be made to Lake Chelan Lions Club, in memory of Pat Houlbjerg. Arrangements were assisted by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
