(East Wenatchee, WA) On Wednesday, August 29th, at 9:20 AM a concerned parent contacted RiverCom dispatch to report seeing two young men pointing what appeared to be firearms towards Cascade Elementary School at NE 23rd and N. Baker. Douglas County Deputies responded to the scene and the school cleared the playground area. A Deputy located two teenage males at the corner of NE 23rd and N. Baker. They had been playing with airsoft guns. There were no actual weapons involved and no one was arrested. There were no injuries. Airsoft guns are realistic in appearance but shoot only small rubber balls.
