Trudie Lea Gensinger

May 2, 1950 ~ June 18, 2012

Trudie Lea Gensinger, age 62, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2012, at Central Washington Hospital. Trudie was born on May 2, 1950, in Wenatchee, WA to Ella Mae “Trudy” and Gerald “Bud” Gensinger. She graduated from Eastmont High School in 1969, and later earned a business degree at Kinman Business University in Spokane. Trudie took a special interest in government and politics, which led her to volunteer for Dixie Lee Ray’s successful campaign for governor. She then went to work at the Chelan County Assessor’s office, where she was a personal property specialist until her retirement. She thoroughly enjoyed her co-workers at the court house; many of her happiest memories included the time she spent dedicating herself to her career. Trudie was an avid Seahawks and Mariner fan and enjoyed spending time rooting for her teams. In 2007, due to the progression of her Multiple Sclerosis, Trudie became a resident of Amber Waves Adult Home, where she spent her remaining years in a loving and happy environment.

Special thanks to June Skinner and her wonderful staff for accepting Trudie into their family and loving her unconditionally.

Trudie is survived by her brother, Jay (Berta) Gensinger; sister, Sharon (Gary) Daling; nephew, Chad Gensinger; nieces, Amy Gensinger and Heidi (Monty) Black; and special friends, Shae and Todd Petitt.

Celebrations of Life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Cascade Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1550 Sunset Highway in East Wenatchee, at 11:00 a.m. and also at 3:30 p.m. at Amber Waves Boarding House, 302 E. Ash Street in Waterville. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Trudie’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org or the Waterville Ambulance, in care of Amber Waves Adult Home.
