(Warden, WA) Around 7:30 p.m. Sunday June 23rd, two Warden men became involved in a verbal altercation at an apartment complex at 800 South County Road in Warden. One of the men pulled out a small caliber handgun and started firing toward the other man. That man was shot twice and another man standing near him was struck by a bullet as well. The injuries are non-life threatening. Both are being treated at Samaritan Hospital. The shooter fled the area and is at-large. This incident was targeted and not random.
Warden Police was assisted by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Moses Lake Police Department, and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. A suspect has been identified, police are looking for him, and the investigation continues by the Warden Police Department. Police are not yet identifying the suspect, but likely will later today.
