(Ephrata, WA) The two-year-old boy who was hospitalized last week due to suspected child abuse or neglect is in critical and stable condition. He remains on life support in Providence-Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. His siblings are in good condition in the custody of Child Protective Services.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate, and all major crimes detectives are committed to this case. There may not be much more information to publicly share soon, but we will release information when we can and when it does not run the risk of compromising any criminal case.
We ask the public for help in two ways. First, we continue to pray for this child, and we ask others to continue to pray for him, too. Second, we ask the public to remain patient with investigators as they continue to gather information on this case. This case will require a great amount of investigative work, and there are a lot of questions which we need to get answers for. It will take time to do this work, and we ask the public to remain supportive of the child, his siblings and our detectives.
