Viola P. Wilson, 90, a longtime Wenatchee resident, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 8, 2012 at Colonial Vista Care Center in Wenatchee.
She was born on February 25, 1922 at Berthoud, Colorado to the late John & Elizabeth (Schwindt) Nolde.
She was raised in the Berthoud, Colorado area where she received her schooling. She later moved to the Wenatchee Valley. She met and was married to James Francis Wilson Sr. They made their home together in Wenatchee. She worked as a waitress at Memories Café, McKinzies Café and Shiraco’s.
She was a longtime member of Central Christian Church and a member of the Wenatchee Aerie #204 FOE for more than 30 years. Gardening and yard work were her pleasure along with watching her husband bowl. In later years she enjoyed playing BINGO at the Senior Center and at Colonial Vista.
She is survived by her two sons, James (Diana) Wilson, East Wenatchee, John (Nina) Hood, Cathedral City, CA; siblings, Bonnie Nolde, Loveland, CO, Helen Hagel, Las Vegas, NV, Betty Juhl, Commerce City, CO, Ilene Laswell, Las Vegas, NV, Dixid Nolde, Vista, CA, Don (Dianna) Nold, Loveland, CO, Daphone Nolde, Loveland, CO, Harry (Mary) Nolde, Holmcob, KS, Polly Newmeyer, Loveland, CO, Ron (MaryAnn) Nolde, Wellington, CO, Sharon (Ron) Persinger, Windsor, CO, Mary Rug, El Paso, TX, Cindy (Rick) Sprague, Loveland, CO, Barbara Wolff, Santa Clara, CA, Kathy (John) Werner, Denver, Co; and two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husband, James on February 23, 1980 and son, Donald Wilson on November 28, 1955.
A Remembrance Gathering will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions are being collected in her name at any Cashmere Valley Bank.
